Kick Worry to the Curb!

Zombies, Monsters & Ghosts oh my! Luckily they only come out once a year knocking on our doors in hopes of being treated and not tricked. Wouldn’t it be silly to let them run around in our heads playing havoc with our peace of mind? Unfortunately, we do exactly that when we wallow in Worryland.

Last week my husband and son were on a hunting trip and for some reason, when the phone rang it triggered worrisome thoughts that something was wrong. Being a recovered worry addict, I caught myself and quickly “saw’ and felt my manly bushmen out in the woods having a great time, safe and happy. Instantly I went from feelings of fear to feelings of love and power and I actually felt a physiological shift and lifting of my spirit. Had I not caught it, I could have allowed worry to rob me of happiness and a sense of well being for an entire week of my life. Wouldn’t that stink? Wouldn’t that have been a huge time and energy waster? I’m pleased to report that I thoroughly enjoyed a retreat like week and they returned happy and safe .

The Power of Imagination

One of the most amazing gifts we have is the power of our imagination. When used in a healthy way it speeds up the process of helping our dreams and goals come true. Unfortunately, one of the most common uses of our imagination is worry when we’re either playing a tape of what happened in the past, or imagining the future. When we worry we leave the stage of the present moment empty. Listen up. This bares repeating. When we worry we leave the stage of the present moment empty. We’re not showing up for ourselves and others in the moment. Just like we protect our property from robbers, we need to protect our imagination from worry so that it doesn’t rob us of the sweetness and blessings of the present moment.

I love this quote by Lao Tzu “Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success. Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success. Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.”

Focus On Your Desired End Results

Let’s kick worry to the curb. Kick away scarcity. Kick away lack. Kick away fear. Here are a few affirmations to help us focus on our desired end results.

  • I believe anything is POSSIBLE!
  • My life is filled with possibilities and I use my imagination to picture those possibilities!
  • I AM creating my results now by thinking and focusing on what is POSSIBLE not on what is!

Many are able to kick worry to the curb successfully and some may need a little  to give the subconscious mind a map that tells it where you want to go. I am here for you if and when it’s time to change those old destructive mental programs that keep you stuck.

As we FOCUS ON WHAT IS rather than on what isn’t we set ourselves free for greater possibilities than we can even imagine. My wish for you is that you “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined!” Henry David Thoreau

You are INCREDIBLE and you deserve to live an empowered life! You have the ability to choose. Choose wholeness, health, abundance and happiness. Choose to believe that something good is happening for you right now. You deserve it! “For God hath not given us the spirit of  fear; but of power , and of  love, and of a sound mind.” 1 Timonthy 1:7
